2008 Heritage Finance Charity Golf Day
The 15th annual Heritage Finance Charity Golf Day (held 2nd May 2008) proved to be an outstanding success.
We successfully raised a net figure of $177,377.51 which was distributed as follows:
SecondBite $52,400.00.
SecondBite is a small not-for-profit organisation committed to making a positive difference to people by identifying sources of nutritious surplus food and produce, that would otherwise go to waste, and facilitating its safe and timely distribution to over 47 agencies and thousands of people in need. Last year SecondBite collected and distribute 132 tonnes of quality surplus food. This is enough food to provide 264,000 hearty 500g meals.
Once again we also supported:
- The Prostate Cancer of Australia who received $52,400.00,
- BrainLink Services who received $52,577.51,
- The Mansfield Wildlife Shelter & Rescue who received $20,000.00.
Congratulations to the winning team Tamar Avsar, Kerry Good, Bernard Dunn and Craig Hille for an outstanding round of golf.
A special mention also to Northern Bus Lines for the largest cash donation of $7,000.00.
